This “ Wine Bottle DIY: Christmas Décor Centerpiece “ is one of those perfect wine bottle diy centerpieces for your dining table. I used empty wine bottles that I got from my sisters when my family visited them last Thanksgiving Day. The post first appeared at The Handy Foodie.
I hate throwing stuffs out. I always think that things can be reused for something else.
Last Thanksgiving Day, I found wine battles from my sister’s garage. They were already empty. She said they had been there for a very long time. She said they were going to the trash sooner or later.
The very first thing that came to my mind was to re-purpose them as centerpiece decoration simply because I have seen these bottles used as centerpiece by a lot of people.
I sure didn’t make any mistake taking these wine bottles from my sister. This Wine Bottle Christmas Décor Centerpiece project came out way too perfect. The bottles look elegant and classy. You would not even think that they were created using cheap materials.
If I went to the store, these bottles would cost me at least $10 per bottle.
With some Christmas tree inserts and ornaments, this table centerpiece came to life beautifully and elegantly. My sister was kinda jealous when she saw my new project. Seriously, I would have given those finished bottles to her but I live at least 700 miles away from her.
To create these wonderful bottles, I took inspiration from the other projects I saw on Pinterest. The only thing I changed is make the bottles look universal. When I say universal, I mean that they can be used in any season.
As you can see, the bottles are painted white. As you know, white is universal. I intend to use these bottles for other seasons and using white is the best option. I can always change the ornaments and inserts to match the colors of different seasons.
There really is no step-by-step instruction for this DIY. All you need to do is to get some empty bottles, take off the stickers, and paint them with specific colors you desire.
What I did find difficult to do was to take out the stickers. Some stickers were hard to take off. What you can do is fill the bottles with water and soak them in boiling water for about 5-10 minutes. Once the stickers look soft, take them out of the water and peel the stickers off.
After those steps, decorate the bottles as you wish. It is really simple and easy to complete. I was able to complete everything in less than 30 minutes.
