Halloween around the corner? Heck, yeah.
Halloween is one of my most favorite days/seasons of the year. It's scary and at the same time fun.
I love seeing children running around in costumes and getting some candies. I love seeing decorations that sometimes freak me out.
But in all seriousness, buying Halloween stuff can be expensive. The season is scary enough that additional dollars spent on this season just adds additional fright to many people.
Halloween season is one of the biggest seasons of the year, that is, in terms of dollar expenditures.
In 2016, the National Retail Federation indicated that in 2016, the total expenditure during Halloween season was $8.4 billion. That's with a B. Holy guacamole.
That I can tell you.
If you are a Halloween season spender, there are a ton of ways you can spend less and still have the right stuff you need for this season.
Just this past weekend, my wife and I went to the Dollar Store. There's a ton of beautiful Halloween decorations there that only cost a dollar each.
On the same day, we also went to Hobby Lobby and see a ton of decorations as well. The difference is that the prices were way higher than those from the Dollar Store.
Of course, our day won't be finished without looking at our friendly, every-day site (i.e. Amazon). I was shocked on how many Halloween decorations it already has and they are cheap, too.
If you are looking for cheap outdoor Halloween decorations ideas or indoor Halloween decorating ideas that look expensive, then, you have come to the right place.

Great Cheap Halloween Decorations On A Budget
If you are looking for frugal ways to celebrate the scary season without frightening your pockets, I highly suggest you go to the Dollar Store and Amazon. Here are the things I found both at the Dollar Store and Amazon. You may think they are expensive but they are not. Most of them are under $5 but they look so darn expensive.
Everyone needs to go potty, right? Well, why not start decorating your bathroom. This Zombie-Hand Peel ‘N Place Toilet Topper is a great way to spook some people away. This is a such a real looking sticker that it is really scary.
Be warned. Some kids may or will get scared on this one.
One of the scariest things on the planet are spiders. No wonder that they are always equated to Halloween season.
For just $1.00, you can have two big spiders that you can put on your desk, throw at somebody, or do something else.
They are of the cheapest Halloween things you can buy and still scare the crap of a lot of people (for fun anyways). Be sure to stop by the Dollar Store to grab a couple of these as these won't be there much longer.
A lot of people use microwave. So, it's no big surprise that companies make scary door decoration for microwave. This one looks real as well.
The best part of this decoration is that it is repositionable, reusable, and will not leave residue.
It looks gross though, which may cause people to avoid using your microwave. But that's what Halloween is all about, right? Don't worry about it because this season doesn't last very long.
When we stopped by the Dollar Store, my daughter immediately saw the pack pf pencils. She loved it so much that she wanted to buy one.
If you ever want to give something that perfectly fits the Halloween spirit to your kids especially the pre-K kids, then, these pencils may be great gifts to them.
It's only a dollar for 12 pieces. You can't beat that if you ask me.
Icicle 2 Pack Battery Powered Spider String Lights, 20 Led 9.51ft Halloween Decoration Lights (Purple)
As much as you want to decorate the interior part of your house, you also need to decorate the outdoor part. I highly recommend you get the Icicle 2 Pack Battery Powered Spider String Lights, 20 Led 9.51ft Halloween Decoration Lights (Purple).
It's a battery operated Halloween LED lights. It is easy to use in that a black button controls the switch and the mode. When the button is on the left side, then, the lights are of. When moved to the middle, the lights turn on the blinking mode. When moved to the right, the lights are on steady mode.
There something about scare crows that scare the crap out of me.
I had a fond memory of scare crows. I don't know if you remember the movie “Children of the Corn”. That movie is so crazy that I couldn't sleep at night when I was a young kid.
If I remember it correctly, there were a bunch of scare crows on the corn field. I think that's where I got the idea that scare crows are scary.
Anyhow, you can buy these scare crows at the Dollar Store for a dollar a piece. They look more expensive than what they really cost.
This is the best product during Trick or Treat time.
It's perfect because a lot of kids go to the door and knock so they can request for candies. Some kids might get scared because this door cover looks real and, therefore, scary. I know that if I were a kid, I wouldn't come near any door with this on it.
It's just that scary.
If you are into simplicity, there's nothing wrong with going for the desk figurines.
They look small enough to fit any space but big enough to be noticeable.
The desk figurines (pictured above) only rus for $1 each at the Dollar Store. You can buy three or four and they won't cost you a lot of money. The Dollar Store has a ton of designs from Dracula to the Scary Witch.
They look expensive but they are not. They are so cute but they don't come with heavy price tags. Be sure to stop by the Dollar Store as soon as you can. The store manager told me (when I was holding one of them) that these little cutie figurines are among their best Halloween sellers.
The feel of the Halloween season won't be complete without the good, old Jack-O-Lantern lights.
They're probably the one of the most iconic, widely-popular Halloween decors out there.
We've had these lights for years and they never get old. They are classic and timeless to say the least. If you are looking for decor that you can always use every year, you won't make any mistake with these lights.
Cute drinking cups with lids
Kids will always be kids and they will ask mom or dad to buy them something that's related to the Halloween season.
If you are on a tight budget but still want to give something to your kids, these cute drinking cups will do it.
It's from the Dollar Store, so, it means that it is only a dollar. You can choose from a variety of designs. Personally, I like the crazy looking pumpkin one. It's funny looking and not entirely scary looking.
There you have them, that is, the great, cheap Halloween decorations on a budget. If you are looking for Halloween part decoration ideas, then, this post perfectly speaks to you. These are cheap alternatives to the expensive ones but they look as though they are expensive.
I can wait for my friends to what I bought from the Dollar Store and from Amazon.
